Swedish politicians have not taken note of what is happening on the other side of the Atlantic.
That it is no longer appropriate to let illegal migrants and vagrants across the borders. And that those who are guilty of such offences (because it is a crime to enter illegally) are deported and repatriated.
Affirmative action is no longer fashionable; many large companies are eliminating their departments that used to work on quotas for women, minorities or different sexual orientations, on the basis of their attributes, rather than the skills required for the position.
Institutional corruption and tax evasion are being tackled. Organisations like USAID have been exposed as pouring millions into strange activities around the world, including media, propaganda and sometimes outright subversion.
That we are talking clearly. There are not 1001 genders, or strange pronouns and new sexual orientations that arise every six months. A spade is a spade, and nothing else.
That it is no longer beneficial to fuel the war in Ukraine, but to end the misery as soon as possible, to re-establish relations with Russia and together create a global security architecture for the 2020s and beyond.
That the media no longer speak kindergarten language and actually report on what is happening in the world, without the Soviet-style filter that has been applied ever more harshly in recent decades.
That the EU is a meaningless paper tiger and a therapy centre for inept bureaucrats. The organisation rests on an undemocratic foundation, mostly aimed at unifying Europe, so that the continent could be more easily controlled by Washington. And now that the Americans have lost interest, the subjects don’t really know where to go. They will probably continue to run things as if nothing had happened. Even though the world around them has changed.
Our politicians are waiting for an update from their masters. Once they get their orders, they will turn tail very quickly and pretend they have always thought the same way. If nothing happens, then I think we should be seriously worried.
